Last year, residents & organisations in the town were asked about their key transport priorities. 

Issues around the environment, congestion, road safety and lack of cycling infrastructure were frequently raised.

Their feedback has been used to develop the draft Transforming Travel in Watford Strategy which is outlined on this website: www.futuretravelwatford.com.

This sets out how Watford Borough Council and Hertfordshire County Council intend to address these challenges with specific actions. www.futuretravelwatford.com/plans.

Watford Borough Council have now launched a formal consultation on the strategy and key actions and want to hear from the residents, visitors, businesses and stakeholders to refine these. 

Transport produces the most greenhouse gases in the UK, and in our stand against climate change the strategy sets out how we plan to make it easier and greener for people to get around Watford, particularly by walking, cycling and using public transport. 

Watford Borough Council would welcome views on our proposals to transform travel in Watford. 

The survey is open from 18th August to 13th October 2021.
